I've spent over two decades studying melanin-rich skin.
And in that time, I've heard the same story more times than I can count.
A Black woman comes to me having already tried everything. The serums, the creams, the prescriptions. She's someone who takes care of herself. Who loves her beautiful melanin skin. Who just wants it to glow the way she knows it can.
But the dark spots aren’t fading
The ones on her face, inner thighs, or underarms feel like they are permanent.
She starts to wonder if she's doing something wrong. If she's missing something. And when nothing seems to work, that wondering turns into desperation. She jumps from product to product, following whatever new product is trending. Hoping this one will finally be different.
It never is.
And every single time, the reason is the same. None of the products were actually made for her skin in the first place.
