Glo Melanin's commitment to giving back has brought us to our roots in Uganda, where we are building wells for clean, safe and accessible water.
This project has already funded three wells, each of which serves 300–500 people, bringing health benefits and a reliable water source to families who previously lacked this essential resource.

In November, we awarded Nneka Okoro, a student at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine, who aspires to become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, focusing on holistic, patient-centered care.
In 2024, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Glo Melanin took action to support and empower those affected by breast cancer.
We created limited edition gift boxes, with a portion of each sale donated to Lula’s Legacy of Love Foundation.
Through this initiative, we proudly contributed $2,000 in funds and nearly $2,000 worth of products, supporting the foundation's mission to drive research, raise awareness, and provide vital support for breast cancer patients and survivors.

Glo Melanin proudly supported Baldare Scalp Care’s Alopecia Awareness Month event, the "Baldie Brunch," held at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore.
This special event brought together individuals to celebrate and uplift those affected by alopecia, fostering a community of empowerment, awareness, and connection.
We contributed products to the event’s gift bags, supporting Baldare’s mission to raise awareness and celebrate confidence and self-love. We are honored to stand with Baldare in their efforts to shine a light on alopecia and empower individuals to embrace their unique beauty.
At Glo Melanin, we are dedicated to supporting the growth, empowerment, and well-being of young Black leaders in our communities.
This year, we proudly partnered with two student organizations that are making a difference on their campuses.
We sponsored the Black Student Union (BSU) at Southwestern College, donating money and products to support their initiatives, including peer mentoring, community service projects, cultural events, and educational workshops.
By contributing to BSU’s impactful programming, we aim to foster a stronger, more inclusive environment for African American students and their allies, reinforcing our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Additionally, for the Homecoming festivities at Tennessee State University, we provided Yoni Wellness Kits for care packages distributed to female students. This initiative offered a gesture of support, wellness, and encouragement to the young women on campus, introducing them to products that prioritize self-care and celebrate natural beauty.
In 2024, Glo Melanin proudly collaborated with ESSENCE for two impactful events, sharing our products to celebrate and support diverse talent and young disruptors shaping the future.
At the Essence x AFROPUNK Brooklyn Ballroom Talent Competition, we donated Yoni Wellness Kits and Turmeric Soaps for the VIP bags gifted to participants, judges, and select VIP guests of the Ballroom Battle. This event honored creativity, individuality, and cultural pride, and we were thrilled to be part of this celebration.
For the Girls United Disruptor Summit: The Next Era, we supported attendees who are breaking societal norms and redefining media and culture by donating 350 Turmeric Soaps, our best-seller, for the attendee gift bags. This event highlighted trailblazers who are shaping the future, and our products served as a token of encouragement for these inspiring individuals.
Through these partnerships, Glo Melanin is dedicated to uplifting communities, supporting changemakers, and empowering individuals to embrace their unique journeys.
